Spaces and meeting rooms can foster and sustain civil society; the lack of space can destroy it. Are there spatial, economic, social, cultural and/or political barriers to accessing these spaces? We explore these questions by documenting β€œthird spaces” - spaces that exist outside of work and home - as well as the organizations they serve. Our focus is a case study of the 21 cities.
