Anti-union rhetoric publicized and encouraged by the employer class does not stand up to scrutiny, and when unions are stronger, economic inequality is lower. Unions also serve as microcosms of democracy, instilling habits of civic engagement in their members. Unions are the best option to reduce economic inequality.
