Windows Server 2016 StandardI do kind of worry about posting a positive review as I think everyone is going to think I’m lying or something but I have not had any problems with this software. I have 4 computers now running Windows 10. Each one works completely fine. I haven’t encountered any real issues with it. I turned a lot of it off but it did bother me it came β€œonβ€ by default. Anyway, I think you will be fine using this provided your computer can handle it. I purchased this last year. Only got around to unwrapping the code today.
I like it, but of course it has issues. If using for work/stability i would stay with windows 7 but if your computer savy then go for it. You can’t prove to me anywhere this clumsy interface is better than XP or Win 7. We have to be hit over the head with tiles. After 25 years of computing with Control Panel this must go away. I did have an issue with the word section once installed. I contacted Microsoft. The problem was resolved very quickly. It was probably my fault, not being really great with computers.I can recommend the product without hesitation.
I’m starting to think that many of these reviews saying it’s not working are from people who tried it once, entered the wrong code, and then quit. IMHO, 10 is the best Windows yet, but I’ll just talk about this one installation package. For those who don’t know, this is made for systems with NO OS ALREADY INSTALLED. As such, it is pretty bare bones. For instance, you can use a Blu-ray drive, but you can’t play Blu-ray movies. But, that’s what the internet’s for! And I have to re-learn. Get used to the feel of this version. But otherwise, things seem to work faster with it and more reliably. I still think that Windows HP was the best of them. Windows 10 should cost less because it comes with annoying / big-brother-esque advertising for other Microsoft software. After logging into a Microsoft screen sharing application with an online Microsoft account, my OS user profile forced me to login and authenticate as my Microsoft account.
I don’t really know what all of the fuss was about. It’s a little different from earlier operating systems, but every operating system is a little different from earlier operating systems. Works great, new install without any issues. Bought another copy for a second build and again no issues. Product key worked. Activated with no errors as well. With all the great OS options out there it’s sometimes hard to justify the price for windows, but 10 is an improvement still over 7 which I had used previously. It then restarted my computer. Up came the fully implemented version of Windows 10. Better than Windows 8 by a far cry but it will never rival the easy simplicity of Windows 7 or XP. It is close enough to Windows 7 however that it’s tolerable enough to keep, but still too far away to get comfortable with it quickly.
Be very sceptical about the positive reviews. This is a bloated system that takes up a lot of ram just to tick over. It slowed my entire system down very noticeably.There are several annoying consequences of the upgrade. For example, email contacts are not transferred over on the upgrade. If your thinking about trying to β€˜save money’. Buy something cheaper on another site like ebay then you probably should not do that. So, save your money and buy Windows OEM software an keyforrest. I don’t get the hate for Windows 10.
It was also a pain figuring out how to make it stop suggesting ridiculous apps. Overall, I don’t really see this as a necessary upgrade to Windows 7. Third attempt, I did it right.. But this disk undoes their wayward β€˜dow
