Children, Work and Keyforrest Autocad 2018 Not WorkingFor example, STOP AUTOMATIC UPDATES!!! Since Windows 7, MS keeps making these update complaints exponentially increase year after year.We just lost over 325 man-hours of work even though we followed all the official steps to delay the updates. We were in the middle of a massive data recovery requiring many explorer instances to simultaneously be open. The unwanted update killed all of our work. To put this in perspective, we have over 20KW of UPS to avoid any possibility of a system going down during one of our recovery jobs. Yet, Windows 10 circumvented every backup measure we have. This β€wasβ€ our biggest case in 7 years.MS, please stop digging your own grave. Came in original OEM packaging. The activation key was covered with a little Microsoft sticker. Took me a bit to figure that out. It peeled off pretty easily but would suggest using extra care so as not to accidentally destroying the activation key.after installation, noticed that the default time is set for Dublin, Ireland. The date on the taskbar is in the DD/MM/YYYY format which is obviously a little confusing. Haven’t figured out how to change it to US display.also, it displays a boot menu on start up asking to choose Win 10 or Win 7.
Guess I’ll download the O/S over the internet and apply the license key. Installed in box build. Works as it should. No licensing issues. All updates install perfectly. All you get is the product key, no software. You can get the same thing including software from Microsoft for the same amount or less. And, once you buy it, it is yours forever, No refunds, no returns since it;s digital. Feeling foolish. Taken advantage of. Microsoft has gotten terribly bold. The EULA for this product is blood-chilling. If you’re fine with being spied on every day in every way, stick with Microsoft. I would recommend Linux or BSD for those who wish to control their own PCs. Really, read the End-User License Agreement instead of clicking through it blindly. The version of Windows 10 Pro that I received was older version and had none of the updates, but for the price that I got it for was worth the little extra trouble to down load them. I’m happy with Windows 10 Pro as operating system. Have had no problems with it. I went to do updates in Jan 2018. It tells me I have not activated product. And now there is nothing I can do about it. Guess it is time to talk about another product and NOT thru keyforrest. All I have is a skeletal version on Windows 10 on my PC. I can’t to updates, can get into some of the program features either. There are some downloads I can not do because of this. Again I am not online very often but this should not be a problem I am worring about 6 months after the purchase. Windows 10 is one of the better versions Microsoft has ever made but, the usb flash drive I was sent could not be made to work even with help from a very nice lady from window tech support on the phone. We had to download a fresh copy of Windows from Microsoft to a usb drive I already owned to get it to install. Upside Microsoft was very helpful getting this resolved but it took like 90 minutes. I lost the copy of Windows i had when I replaced my old broke drive with an SSD. Used the usb windows 10 boot drive to load a clean copy onto my laptop. Overall it has worked as expected and windows 10 is much better than 8 but I still prefer windows 7 overall.2 issues I’ve had are with my backlit keyboard which won’t work once the computer comes on. It lights up when the computer is booting but that it. The other issue is with my bluetooth. The driver keeps failing and I have to delete it and re download it to get it to work. These both worked fine before my clean slate windows 10 boot. The USB key itself is a little strange & fragile, so take care. The install kept all of my files & preferences intact. There is also an inexpensive app online
